“Soles4Souls is a not-for-profit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing.”
Here at St. Clare Catholic Academy, we pride ourselves in giving back to those who are less fortunate. In the past, we have donated food, clothes, and toiletries but never thought about donating gently used footwear.
“Just imagine how the homeless are coping in the winter without warm boots or shoes to wear,” I told my First Grade class. From then on collections have been pouring in! As of Feb. 4, we have collected over 150 pair of shoes! With just under a week left, I have no doubt that the donation will double!
We live in a world where very often the less fortunate are the forgotten ones. The students of St. Clare Catholic Academy have pulled together to make sure this year more people have toasty toes this winter!
